John Tyler Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education that is part of the statewide system of community colleges. The college has campuses in Chester and Midlothian, an outreach center at Fort Lee, and off-campus classrooms throughout the area.
JTCC offers a Career Studies Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling. The Career Studies program offers a number of curricular concentration options, each of which can be completed in a shorter period of time than the other certificate programs.
JTCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associates degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates.
