William and Mary is a public, coeducational liberal arts university adjacent to Colonial Williamsburg. It is one of only two universities in Virginia offering a master’s program in addictions counseling.
The Community and Addictions counseling program is a concentration area for the Master’s degree in counseling. In addition to the core requirements for the Master’s degree in community counseling, students take three courses and a 600 hour internship that are specific to addiction. The Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) is offered through a consortial program sponsored by the College of William and Mary, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk State University, and Old Dominion University.
