Motivational Interviewing Assessment: Supervisory Tools for Enhancing Proficiency (MIA:STEP) is a package of resources to help supervisors, peer mentors and counselors improve and maintain their skills in the use of MI methods and strategy. This CD contains the entire contents of the MIA:STEP manual.  All of the products contained here are in the public domain and may be reprinted without permission of the authors.  Recordings of the demonstration MI assessment interviews are included on separate CDs in the MIA:STEP package.

MIA:STEP was developed as part of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Blending Initiative.  The materials were prepared and produced by the Addiction Technology Transfer Centers funded by SAMHSA and the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network funded by NIDA.
